Dinner at Changi Airport T3

Yes, it's with relation to Kent's phobia of the crowd on a weekend that we are going for dinner at the airport. It wasn't a bad idea afterall since the crowd there is really lesser and Reyes had not been there yet. They had enjoyed themselves pretty much at dinner, at the viewing area, play area and water fountain.

Oh ya, not forgetting to give Reyes some credit for being a good gal today. She finished a bowl of rice all on her own at the restaurant!!! Prior to this, I had only let her try self-feeding at home and it's usually with some help. Today I was all prepared to give them biscuits or bread if they don't take their dinner so I just let them "play" with their bowl of rice and some of the toufu, fishcake and soup we were having. Before I realised it, the stuff in Reyes' bowl was gone!! I reminded myself to look around under the high chair and table before I jumped into an ecstatic mood. My gal had really grown up ... Not that Reyden can't do it but he gets distracted easily so he'll still need help from Waipo and Daddy.
I believe there'll come a day when he's able to do it too.

Punggol Park

Mummy had wanted to go Jacob Ballas Children's Garden today but proposed plan was rejected by Daddy cos today's a Saturday. Our Daddy had been known for a "homely" person on weekends. Ask him when was the last time he went to town (or even anywhere near town) on a weekend and we bet he can't even recall the donkey-years-ago trip. Anyway he had promised Mummy we'll go there one of the weekday next week so that managed to pacify Mummy for today. And we ended up at Punggol Park instead. Nothing much there except for big big space for us to run around. We get to see people fishing and playing with their remote-controlled toy boats. There's also a playground but we didn't walk that far.

There's a Bliss Restaurant right at the entrance of the park. Mummy read about the reviews, not too good but not too bad either. Probably will bring us there for a try next time round.

My left-handed gal

At this point, we could more or less be sure that Reyes' gonna be a lefty like me. She takes to ease, be it scribbling or eating, with her left hand. We had tried putting the pen/spoon in her right hand but she'll either lose grip of it or hold it in an awkward manner. I gave up trying to change that cos I understand how frustrated it can be for the child.

I wasn't as lucky as Reyes. I got caned, scolded and nagged at just for being a lefty. Couldn't understand why at that point but as I grew older, I begun to know why. Constantly knocking into someone's hand next to me at a dining table, felt pen ink smudging on my left hand as I write on paper, wiping away the chalk writing on my left as I write on the blackboard & some other minor problems ... Though can't say the problems are totally negligible but guess it's a matter of getting used to it. And I've long gotten used to it.

Till now I'm still wondering whether can someone's master hand be forced to change since young. However that isn't quite important now cos I've got no intention to change Reyes'. So it's gonna be 2 against 2 for "fights" at the dining table in future.

Today had been a hectic day for us. Zoo followed by Keira's visit then rushed off to meet Yiyi for dinner. Wanted to have buffet at Sakura Yio Chu Kang but the queue was ... Ended up eating zi char at Hougang Point. The 4 of us were knocked out by 10pm which is very rare for Daddy and Mummy. Nevertheless it had been an enjoyable day for us.

#XX Zoo trip

Yes, this is our "dunno-the-#-what" trip to the zoo. We had wanted to go since few weeks ago but the weather hadn't been too good. Finally made it to the zoo after many days of downpour. And this time round with a special guest, Naomi! Seems that she had enjoyed herself too though she slept thru the 2nd half of the trip but she was a pretty good gal today.
Mummy had also realised Reyes' reluntance to sit in the stroller this time round. She could walked and followed us with much discipline. Perhaps we'll try to go without the stroller for our next trip. It's also a better way for us to explore and learn more on our own during the trips rather than strapping us to the stroller and wanting us to see what the adults want us to see.
