Genting Trip (28th - 30th Jun 09)

We went Genting again!! This time round without Waigong but Yiyi instead. She had to clear her leave before Jul 09 therefore suggested that we all go for this short trip with her.

The travelling route is pretty much the same thru flight, skyvan and cable car. As for accomodation, Daddy had redeemed for 1st World Hotel rooms with the Genting card but we probably won't go for it again, no more 3rd chance. The rooms are rather small and cramp without a fridge and plus at Tower 2, the walking distance to the Theme Park isn't any better than Resort Hotel.

Oh, and one thing worth mentioning is Mummy's dream came true!! We survived this trip "diaperless" and "milkless". (Ok, Mummy brought 2 pull ups for Reyes' night use) We went thru the 3 days with the adults' food and fresh milk. The luggage is so much lighter and apparently packing and unpacking became an easy task. Mummy says we are now ready for longer and further trips but that's provided Reyden's behaviour gets better.

Now, sit back and enjoy the pixs we took!

Gone all crazy over the rides. Mummy lost count of the times we took the train rides.

An evening ...

We went for dinner at Geylang cos Yiyi had a netball game with her colleagues at Kallang Netball Centre and she wants us to give her a ride there. Mummy and Daddy decided to bring us over to the netball centre to have a look after dinner while waiting for Yiyi to finish her game.

Yiyi is coming!!

When is it my turn?

A potent virus in the house

Mummy's post:

It started with Reyden having stomach flu on Monday then Reyes was down with fever from Tuesday to Thursday and finally to me. I've been having diarrhea and vomitting since yesterday. It was a tough day with Reyes at home with me, running for the toilet with a runny nose. And to add on to the misery, Kent was on duty yesterday.

But on a bright note, Reyden had been a good boy these few days. Guess he didn't get to see the sister much (cos Reyes skipped school for the last 3 days), therefore he misses her and didn't really fight with her as much. If it's not for that then he must be thinking that I sent him to school (while Reyes get to stay at home with me) cos he had been naughty.

Anyway it's consoling to see them getting on well with each other. Reyden even did a sweet act yesterday when Reyes and I picked him from school. He hugged Reyes when he saw her and went on to touch her forehead, turned to me and said "no more hot hot, meimei can go school!". It was such a cute and heartwarming one, made me forget my sickness and tough day for a moment ...

Happy 10th Birthday to Kiki!!

Reyes' post:
Happy 10th Birthday to Kiki!! Mummy had wanted to get cake for Kiki from Compasspoint Cold Storage US Doggie Barkery but to our disappointment, it wasn't there anymore. We ended up with a water dispenser, jellies for doggies and some treats for him. Hope he likes the pressies!

The presents Reyes and Mummy went to get for Kiki - a new water dispenser, jelly for dogs and lamb treat.

The wedding of Uncle Sean and Aunty Clara

Reyden's post:

Finally it's my turn to attend a wedding dinner with Mummy! I almost couldn't make it cos I was down with stomach flu yesterday but luckily I recovered in time. Mummy had wanted to let me rest at home and bring Reyes instead but think I had passed the bug to her. She started having fever and diarrhea since morning ...

Anyway, I behaved quite well throughout the dinner though I was kind of shy. It was the wedding of Mummy's secondary school classmates - Uncle Sean and Aunty Clara. We wish them all the best in their newly married life!

Playdate at Keira's place

We had gotten an invitation to Keira's house this afternoon together with a few Mar kids - Anthea, Seth, EJ, Bel, Dylan & their siblings. Mummy had forgotten to take pictures of the food we had. EJ's Daddy made delicious glutinous rice, Aunty Joelle made nice sponge cakes, Keira's Daddy bought chicken wings, Aunty Huingee brought sushi, Aunty Yvonne brought drinks & Mummy made pasta for the kids! And not forgetting Aunty Elaine brought the Barney cake that caused much excitement among the kids. Thank you to Aunty Michelle for having us over and all the aunties and uncles for the food.
