Yummy recipe

Tried this today. Reyden & I love it but not Reyes. Can't figure out what's wrong with her these days. Preferred to eat her "baby-times" cereal than porridge. Thought cook something different for her but it still doesn't catch her fancy. Concluded that she's got sweet tooth. Likes all the sweet stuff, biscuits, kuehs, fruits & etc ... Shall try another fish with red dates recipe for her tomorrow & see how.

This original recipe was with compliment from Auntie Joelle from the Mar thread. Just to share with other mummies after some modification on my own. :)

Chicken Pasta
- 2 pcs chicken fillets
- 2 small US potatoes
- half carrot/some broccoli
- 1 onion
- 1 small bowl of vegetable pasta
- olive oil
- grated cheddar/mozarella cheese
- full cream/carnation milk

1. turn on oven to 180 degree baking mode. (optional if dont wan to use oven)
2. boil a small pot of water. throw in pasta when boiling. simmer till soft... drain and rinse with cold water. set aside.
3. cut into smaller pieces the chicken, potatoes, carrots/broccoli. (smaller easier to cook)
4. pour olive oil into casserole dish, throw in chopped onion and cook till fragrant/slight brown. throw in chicken n stir till partially cooked. throw in potatoes, carrots/broccoli. pour in full cream milk and let boil.
5. Puree/Mash the cooked stuff together with pasta. Pour back into casserole dish and top with grated cheese. (not too much cheese cos abit giam... jus a thin layer at the top.) cover dish and put into oven to bake for 15-20 minutes. After that, stir in cheese evenly.
optional 5a. if no oven, u can just lower the fire and stir in cheese.

It really taste yummy. Mummies can also enjoy this dish but minus the blending step.

Reyden & Reyes

Mummy, I like this. Can you get this for me?
(Mummy's reply: we shall go get it when Daddy's not around.)

Halo Daddy, Mummy wants to deposit me here. Can you come & pick me?

Finally got it done for the Mar babies trolley pixs - Reyes in Fairprice trolley.

Reyden's 1st haircut

To be exact, this isn't the 1st time Reyden steps into a salon. But the last time he went for a haircut was a "improper" one with us cradling him and the electrical shaver just went over his head briefly. We decided to bring him for a haircut as his hair hasn't been growing much and had been growing quite unevenly. This time round he gets to sit on the chair, with the cloth draped over him and there he goes! All ready for a haircut. He sat thru the haircut session quietly but with an extremely "black face". His naughty mei mei was beside laughing at him as he slowly becomes a little "monk".

Reyden's 1st tooth

Yeah, Reyden's tooth is out. This is faster than I expected cos I was told that normally it'll be much slower for 1 twin to start teething than the other. Since Reyes just started last week so I expect Reyden's ones to sprout out in another 1-2 mths' time. Still don't have the chance to snap pictures of their teeth. Cos they will stuck out their tongue whenever I try to "ply" open their mouth to see their teeth. Reyes now has 2 lower teeth. Will find a chance to take the pictures.

1st swimming session of the duo!

Birthday Party of Danial & Yazmin

We attended the 1st birthday bash of Danial & Yazmin ~ 1st pair of twin friends of R&R. Both mummies had found so much similarities in them and it makes us feel that we are not alone with 2 terrors. hahaha! All of us had enjoyed the party. We had attended some other children' parties which seemed more like an adult party more. But this one isn't the same. It was a real party for babies & children with all the toys to keep them entertained. Thank you to Auntie Fi for inviting us. Looking forward to R&R's 1st birthday in Feb.

Reyes' 1st trip to the airport

Had brought Reyes to the airport to send yiyi off. Yiyi's going to Krabi with her colleagues. Reyes looks so sad when yiyi's about to go off. Yiyi suggested a family trip next year & Daddy & Mummy are tempted. Had promised to bring her & gor gor for a resort getaway trip next Aug/Sep. Hope everything falls in place then.

Reyes' 1st tooth!!

Saw a tiny-weeny white bit of Reyes' lower tooth sprouting out this evening. Didn't know Mummy can get so excited over it. She had been slower than Reyden in almost everything, flipping, sitting up, crawling & etc ... This is the only time that she's faster than the brother. All the excitement aside, she's suffering from quite abit of uncomfort & pain. Couldn't get to sleep or eat, getting all cranky at night. It hurts me seeing her like this. Hope it'll be all over soon for her. And we'll be expecting Reyden's ones to sprout out soon.

New things for them

Finally got down to buying a Lucky Baby high chair & Maxi Cosi car seat for them. Auntie Aida had commented that can't keep them still during feeding time. Anyway it's high time to let them eat in a proper chair. Luckily I've only got one to try out. Reyden simply refused to sit & eat in it. Will let him try again before we get another one for them.

As for the carseat, it's cos the both of them had now grown longer & it seems like they are cramped inside the infant car seats. Therefore we decided to let them sit up & watched the view outside the car instead of watching Mummy being a clown in the car.

Reyes in the high chair.

The Mar babies of the forum Mummy's in had pictures of their babies in supermarket trolleys. Mummy wanted us to have a pix of that too. Here's Reyden's.

But he doesn't look too happy in it. Shall bring Reyes to the supermarket this afternoon to look for ah ma & take one too.

Gymboree Play Gym

Reyden & Reyes enjoying themselves.

Our friends - Danial & Yasmin!

Brought the 2 terrors to Gymboree Play & Music at Vivocity today. Seems to have neglected them recently so thought of bringing them out for some fun. It was a place recommended by another twin mummy. I must thank her for bringing us there cos R&R had really enjoyed themselves. It's a pretty nice & fun place for children above 6mths old. They have classes suitable for various ages too. Will share about them after we have try them out. :)

Fallen off the bed ...

My poor Reyes had fallen off my bed for the 1st time. Careless Mummy took things for granted, left her on my bed, turned & put something on the table. When I turned back half her body was already out of the bed & before I had time to react, she was on the floor ... Felt so guilty & 心疼. Though Daddy didn't scold me but I knew it's my fault. Some mummies were kind enough to console me by telling me that almost 100% of infants/children fall off beds/sofas at least once. But knowing this still doesn't ease my guilt. I should have been more careful ... Sorry Reyes.
