More time for us!!

Mummy is gonna make a huge change to her (work) life. She had decided to go for a part time job, for more time and flexibility. Ever since the arrival of Nee, she had felt that she has too little time on hand. The 2-3 hours after work is simply too short to be distributed among the 3 of us. Bring us down to play, revise our school work, play with Nee, do simple teaching with Nee, grocery shopping and etc ...

As we are going into Pri 1 soon, she decided she needs to do something about this. And coincidentally, Aunty Michelle has a job recommendation which allows Mummy to work half a day. Though it's half day pm, but she thought it's good enough. She can spend time with Nee in the morning, do her grocery shopping and spend the evenings going thru school work or bring us down for play.

Though she's going to miss her current job, colleagues and bosses lots but she will just have to bear with it and take the "risk" to move to the new place. Let's all pray for a good working environment, nice colleagues and caring bosses for her!

Aunty Charito's home leave

Aunty Charito made her way back to Phil for her 2 wks home leave last night. It was supposed to be in Dec but Mummy decided to let her go back early for her brother's wedding.

These 2 weeks will be tough on us (or rather Mummy and Ah Ma) as we'll all have to help out with the house chores while both of them take turns to look after Nee Nee. The good thing is we'll be off to Hongkong next Fri so housework can be leave aside for that period. Let's see if we all can survive (well).

Goodbye Aunty Aida ...

Mummy had mentioned in one of the previous post that Aunty Aida had decided to go work in Hongkong after her contract ended. And if you all do remember, she's leaving for her hometown, Philipines today. She'll be back there for 2 weeks before she goes to Hongkong.

Mummy picked us up from school at 2pm in order to let us send Aunty off at the airport. She could see that Aunty couldn't bear to leave us. Her eyes were all swollen from crying when she woke up this morning. And she kept hugging and kissing us before we set off for school.

We had expected a teary scene at the airport & it did happened. Mummy didn't want to capture those sad scenes so what we have here are the last few happy moments we had with Aunty.

Let's hope things will turn out well after she leaves. For her & for us ...

Aunty's gift for us
This is the cross stitch that Aunty had made for us. She had wanted to make an individual one for each of us but didn't have enough time to do it. She'll do it during the 2 weeks in Philipines and get her cousin to pass it to us when she's in SG. Thank you, Aunty.

New layout of bedroom

Prior to her leaving, Mummy had made some changes to our lifestyle and bedrooms arrangements. Daddy was worried that she can't cope when he's not home for the night therefore they had decided that they shall empty the common bedroom and we'll all sleep there. The reason being there won't be any distraction when she's putting us to sleep and nothing dangerous in the room.

A post for Daddy

Mummy has so much to tell you but she's worried that she'll forget by the time you are back. Therefore she's putting them down.

- Reyden caused the soup to spill on kiki when he pushed Aida's hands away. Luckily the soup wasn't hot. Poor kiki ...

- Mummy told Reyes on the 1st night that Daddy's not around to help her make her milk buffet so she gotta sleep after finishing her 1st bottle and she did!!

- Mummy's contemplating to bring us to the zoo on her own on Fri. She knows that you'll jump at her and say no so she don't intend to let you know till you are back. hahaha!!

- Ever since Mummy told Reyes Daddy's not around to make extra milk for her, she drank lesser and lesser each night.
1st night - 240ml
2nd night - 220ml
3rd night - 200ml
4th night - 140ml
Luckily Daddy's coming back tomorrow.

Changes to mummy' s life

Reyden's post:

Ever since that episode of mummy & daddy's small quarrel with Aunty Aida over our, (or rather my) disciplinary issues, the thought of being a SAHM started to linger in mummy's mind. After few discussions with Daddy, she decided to let go of the shop. And on her mind now is her resignation from work as well.

I know mummy isn't feeling too good about all these cos it's rather a major change in her life but she told me that she's doing it for the best interest of us. She felt bad enough that we had to share whatever time she has between us & not able to give us as much as if we are a singleton baby. She just didn't want to let our childhood slip past without her contributing much to it.

In fact mummy realised that she actually find pleasure in a SAHM's daily duties - bathing us, preparing breakfast, lunch, dinner & snacks for us, feeding us, bringing us out for play, playing with us, putting us to sleep & anything else that has got to do with us.

Whatever it is, we are also glad that Daddy had been rather supportive of her decisions. Let's hope Mummy will be able to go thru this transition period soon.
