Sesame Street Show with Daddy

We went back for the Sesame Street Show at Marina Square today but Mummy was so disappointed that we weren't in the 1st 40 in the queue. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the show as much especially Reyes and Daddy.

Dinner at 新旺香港茶餐厅

We went for dinner at a Hongkong cafe at Kovan Heartland mall this evening. 新旺香港茶餐厅 is open 24 hours on weekends and till 2am for weekdays which make it a good place for late night diners to visit when they have food cravings late into the night. The cozy ambience of cushioned seats and seating booths are also added reasons for the patrons.

This is nice.

This is yummy too.

Wow! The restaurant's famous snow ice.
This is a combi of strawberry, mango and red bean.

Yeah, let's tuck in!!

Bottle Tree Park

Aunty Sally "invited" us to join her family and cell group friends at Bottle Tree Park this afternoon. This park which is open daily for free entry has a wide collection of fun places to visit with various recreational amenities. It is located at 81 Lor Chencharu, opposite Yishun Stadium. It took 2.5 years to build this 7ha park from scratch. What used to be forest and scrumbs is now transformed into a beautiful serene sanctuary boasting a restaurant, a pond, kampung-style buildings, mini-zoo, basketball and volleyball courts, an obstacle course, a paintball field and more!

Activities available:
All prices subject to changes:
Long Kang Fishing = $10 per child (3- 12 yrs old)
Prawn Fishing Farm = $13.50 per hour
Pond Fishing ($35+ per day)
Swan Float Rides ($9 per 15 mins)
Children’s playground (free)
Wooden swings (free)

On top of those activities mentioned, there is also a seafood restaurant and cafe for visitors to have their meals and a sip of coffee.

Lift breakdown

We got a shock when we saw the below scene at our lift landing this morning. Mummy says this is 1st encounter with lift breakdown after their stay in the estate for the last 5 years. Daddy suggested we climbed up slowly but Mummy wouldn't hear of that.

She immediately did a U-turned and brought us to the playground. However the condition of the lifts remained unchanged after half an hour and it was way past our meal time so Mummy relented and we made our way up the 21 flight of stairs. Both of us were rather excited about the stairs climbing till the 8th storey. Daddy and Mummy had to carry us for the rest of the "journey". Mummy regretted listening to Daddy's suggestion. We should have just go to a nearby foodcourt with aircon and enjoy our lunch.

What a "tragic" scene ...

Only halfway thru?

Finally 21 ...

Sesame Street Show & GGB

Mummy brought us to Marina Square for the Sesame Street show today. It was a much better one than the Barney's we watched on Wednesday. 1st of all, it's indoor and therefore it's more comfortable and not as warm. 2nd, this is more organised and systematic as we had to queue to get into the seating area and kids will be asked to sit down if they are blocking the people behind. As it's a weekday, there wasn't much crowd when we reached there at 12.15pm for the 1pm show. We managed to queue within the 1st 40 for the phototaking session. Mummy was all excited about the show. She told us that they didn't have the luxury of watching these real life shows last time.

The show was a pretty good one with all the familar Sesame Street songs and dances and both of us enjoyed it very much though Reyden just sat on Mummy's lap and moved with the music. However we missed the phototaking session as Reyes' poo leaked and we had to go the washroom to get her clean up. Anyway Mummy thought there won't be anyone to help us take the photo so we gave that a miss. Mummy says she'll probably bring us there again over the weekend or next Tues to get the photo taken.

Mummy brought us to Go-Go Bambini after the Sesame Street show. Yes, we are back there again. Both of us felt so at ease there. It's cos we had been there for so many times. There were Leia, Andrew, Bel and Sam with us today. Uncle Nick says we "clocked" the most hours for the recent gatherings. That will probably be the case till we start school next month.
