Photoshoot

We had brought RR for a photoshoot session at Yew Kwang Studio this morning. The whole session was pretty smooth & enjoyable. We had fun & the photographer is really a nice & patient guy. Highly recommended for babies/toddlers photoshoot.

Reyden's driving

Routine assessment at KKH

We were back at KKH for their routine assessment check today. Their development were great. The PD had complimented both on their motor skills. They are considered fast in pulling themselves to stand, holding onto things & cruise around & take steps without assistance based on their corrected age of 8.5 mths. Reyden had always been faster in his motor skills including flipping, sitting up & crawling so I'm not too worried about him. Reyes' the one who's slower in everything in terms of motor skills but surprisingly she had started to walk before Reyden. The PD had also assured me that her development are fine & I'll have to keep it in mind that it should be based on her corrected age & not actual age. Well, at least her height & weight of 70cm & 9kg are in the 50th percentile which is considered average. While Reyden's height of 72cm is in the 50th percentile & his weight of 10kg is in the 75th percentile.

Reyes & the potty

She chose the potty herself. I had the FisherPrice Royal Potty in mind when I brought her to Kiddy Palace but she ended up crying when we put her on it. There were a few others which comes with music or toys at the side. She simply didn't want to sit on those & kept standing up to fiddle with the music/toys. Finally saw her smile when we put her on a Combi potty. She likes holding on to the handle while sitting on it. I knew this is the one.

True enough, we managed to make her do her pee & poo in it. I had the idea of posting the "end result" of the training session here but didn't lest it makes you guys throw up your lunch/dinner.

Oh ya, we tried putting Reyden on it & he just refused to do anything with it. I've forgotten that my 2 kids have totally different likes & dislikes. We will probably have to make another trip to Kiddy Palace with Reyden & start the 'potty-choosing' thingy once again.

Reyes' 1st few steps on her own

Reyes took her 1st few steps without support today!! In fact we caught her doing that last week but call it careful or timid, she simply refused to give it another try after 2 falls. She would only walk when she holds on to something or my hands.

We had a twins' gathering at Auntie Fi's place today. Auntie Faith was guiding her to walk with a ball in her hands and she slowly let go of the ball without Reyes realising. Reyes thought someone's still holding on to the ball in her hands and she continued to walk on her own!! And when she realised that she can actually walk without anybody/anything's help, she's at it again. Mummy was too happy to even take out the camera & record it. Lucky thing is Auntie Fi had took it down on video. We were so eager to come back home and tell Daddy about it but guess action speaks louder than words cos Reyes made her way into the living room on her own.

HAPPY 2008!!!

Auntie Aida's off today so we had our own sweet time. Took them both to Macdonalds for breakfast. This is the 1st time both are at MacDonalds together. Usually we'll have either Reyes or Reyden with us. What they had for breakfast today - hash brown for Reyes & hotcakes for Reyden. They are just like 2 big kids enjoying their fast food.
