SOL Playground Cafe

We had a mini gathering with the Mar kids at SOL Playground Cafe. It is a cafe with an outdoor playground and indoor play area highly recommended by some mummies. They have a balloonist and face and hand painter on every Sunday 12.30pm - 2.30pm doing free hand painting and balloon sculptures for kids too. The cafe provides a rather safe and conducive environment for children except that it's quite warm at the outdoor playground and the other complaint is the pricey food. Well, nothing comes perfect anyway. It's good enough that we all enjoyed themselves.

3rd morning with dry diaper

Mummy's post:

This is the 3rd morning that Reyden woke up with a dry diaper. He'll wake us up once or twice every night when he needs to go to the toilet. Seems like he's more aware of what's this toilet-training is all about.

Though Reyes was 4 months ahead of him to get toilet-trained in the daytime but when it comes to night time, she's still on pull ups and won't wake up to go to the toilet. I was told that I'll need to wake her up but I guess it's the laziness in me. I had thought that since she had already helped me save on the daytime diapers, I could afford to drag till later for the night training. It was the same thoughts when Reyden got toilet-trained in the daytime. However this boy had been rather persistent and consistent with his own night training as well. He'll make sure he goes to the toilet before sleep, wakes us up in the middle of the night to go to the toilet so that he won't pee in the pull ups.

I'll just need another few more days of indication to know if I should let him go without night diapers as well. Bless us ...

Meet-The-Parents Session

Today is our school "Meet-the-Parents" session and Daddy and Mummy were invited to meet up with Teacher Mylene and 赵老师 to learn about our development, behaviour and learning in school.

Teacher Mylene being our form teacher did most of the talking. She had commented that both of us are fast learners in terms of speech, communication, understanding, gross motor skills and etc ... She had seen much improvement in all the above since we came in last December.

And there were also the funny incidents which happened in school and some things about Reyden which came as a little surprise to Daddy and Mummy. Teacher Mylene feedback that Reyden is actually a very patient boy in school. He's very serious in his work and make sure it's done properly and won't submit till he completes them. And he'll always want to hold Reyes' hand when they are out of the school compound. (This is interesting cos when with Daddy and Mummy, it's usually Reyes who wants to hold his hand but he doesn't want)

Another thing is that Reyes is usually the one who will disturb Reyden in school. eg. will go over to Reyden's mattress and disturb him at nap time, will take his things, will push or hit him & etc ... This is a total opposite of what's happening at home. Reyden had always been a terror at home and Reyes' extremely scared of him. Mummy wonders why the difference in their behaviours. She shall monitor this and see what might be the cause.

Anyway, Daddy and Mummy are pretty satisfied with what they heard from the teachers. Below are remarks from our progress report:

Mummy had gone independent

Mummy decided that she'll have a place of her own (blog) and had moved some of the older and non-RR related posts over to her "Blessed Journey" so that this will purely be a recording place for the 2 of us and of cos some little updates of the family.
