Happy 2nd Birthday to Cayley and Austin!

We were invited to Cayley and Austin's 2nd birthday party at their new place today. This is one of the best party we went to cos they had waterplay set up for the kids!! And needless to say, we had great fun in the pool and Mummy says the catering from Chilli Padi is yummy too.
We had the other pair of twins, Dan and Yaz with us as well.
Thank you to Aunty Carmen for the invitation.

Sentosa Underwaterworld and Luge & Skyride

Mummy noticed that we had been quite interested in the aquarium adventure from The Wheels on the Bus: Mango's Animal Adventure DVD. We learnt the words "stingray, sea dragons, sea horses, puffins, jelly fish, sea turtles, sharks & etc .." from the show and we never did get tired from watching it. Therefore Daddy and Mummy planned for today's trip to the Underwater World. Waipo joined us too.

They had wanted to take the cable car but both of us fell asleep in the car so Daddy drove into Sentosa instead. Mummy finds that today's trip is better than the last time we were there probably cos of a lesser crowd and we are now more interested in the underwater species. We managed to spot the stingrays, sea dragons, sea horses, sharks, sea turtles and jelly fishes. However there don't seem to have any puffins or maybe we missed it.

Seeing that it's still early after the Underwater World visit, Mummy remember Aunty Sandy mentioned that the Luge and Skyride at Sentosa is fun so we went for a try at those too.

We must say that the Luge ride is great fun but the Skyride is rather scary mainly cos Mummy's afraid of the height and the ride seems so open. Those with kids that fidget alot will have to consider when taking this. Mummy was so worried that we'll drop out of it the moment we move around.

Frozen food

Mummy had always been very much into preparing fish dishes for us cos she believes in the goodness of it and it'll benefit our health in the long run.

And cos of the large amount of fishes we consume every week, Mummy finds that it's more economic and convenient to buy the frozen ones than thawed ones in the supermarket. Many people had thought that frozen stuff might not be as fresh or taste as good as fresh ones but that might not be the case. At least that's what we thought for these brands that Mummy always buy.

Delikat Salmon (Original, Garlic and Brasil or Lemon and Herbs)
It comes in individual fillet packed, can be cook with our Teriyaki Salmon recipe.

SSG Frozen Cod Loin
We like these cod loins steamed with tomatoes and toufu

Frozen Roasted Eel (Unagi Kabayaki)
We throw this into the oven to grill for 5-10 mins and it's ready!

Dodo Vege Balls
Something else that Mummy recommends. It tastes great (boiled or grilled) too.

Reyden's toilet-trained!!!

Mummy's post:

I'm proud to announce that Reyden at 26mths old is finally toilet-trained for daytime! It's hard to understand my excitement and happiness cos all along I thought it'll take forever for him to be trained. I had tried for quite sometime after Reyes was being trained but gave up eventually cos he'll pee everywhere except in the toilet. He'll simply just sit on the toilet seat and refused to pee. I thought I might as well continue to put him in diapers for the sake of my sanity and his safety (in case I beat him to death, haha!).

However a week ago when I came across some nice Thomas underwears at Tom and Stephanie, I decided to get for him. I know he had been quite jealous over Reyes' collection of Hello Kitty, Princess, Barney and Strawberry shortcake panties. He loves the briefs and it took me by surprise when he told me one morning "gorgor big boy, no wear pampers. I want wear underwear, same meimei."

So I took the "risk" and let him went to school without diaper but with lots of emphasis that he musn't "shh shh" in underwear, must tell Teacher Mylene & etc ... I thought will just let him try it out and the school will probably put him back on diapers if there are too many "accidents".

When I picked him up that day, the teachers told me he had 2 accidents that day though he was able to tell them when he needs to pee and poo a few other times. I thought the teachers were about to tell me that he's not ready yet and I should put him back on diaper. However they didn't! And they told me to bring more shorts for him the next day and they'll continue to let him go without diapers. I was so grateful for that.

And after 3 days of "accidents", he finally came back home with no more soiled shorts! We certainly owe this "success" to the CC and teachers. My dream of going to Genting (yes, we are going again end of Jun) diaperless is coming true!!

Reyes' shirt

Mummy's post:

These bloodstains on Reyes' shirt freaked me out when I changed her yesterday morning. Her eczema is acting up again and nothing of those creams and lotions I have seem to work this round. I decided to book for an appointment with KKH allergy clinic. Luckily there was a slot available this morning though we had to pay private rate.

The consultation was quite a relief, nothing serious according to the doctor. He had mentioned that it looks like Atopic Eczema but he don't think it's any food allergy so we won't be required to go for any prick test.

Anyway I also found out why the eczema hasn't been controlled this round. It's cos I had been applying only moisturisers and not steriod creams. Guess we'll have to apply that till the inflammation areas get better regardless of my reluctance to give her the steriod creams. Let's hope it clears off soon. We'll see the doctor in another month's time for a review.

p.s: Oh ya, the doctor taught me to put the moisturisers in the fridge and apply it as and when she feels itchy and it works pretty well. Maybe those kids with the same problem can try this too.

Reyes' singing - Liang Zhi Lao Hu

Mummy's post:
This gal of mine really loves to sing and perform. She said: "Meimei sing, Mummy take picture for meimei?" and that was how I got these videos.

A morning at East Coast Park

It had been quite awhile since we drop by East Coast Park for cycling. Daddy was in the mood for it thus we went there for breakfast followed by cycling. And we found something new there today - the rental of motorised vehicles for kids. Needless to say, we had a go at it too.

Breakfast at Burger King - Oh, they actually serve the double scrambled eggs platter at $7.95 instead of the normal size ones which is great for us to share with Daddy and Mummy.

After the cycling

Having fun with the motorised cars
