Bye Bye Potty ...

This is the part 2 of Reyes' potty-training's story. It had been almost 3 weeks since she started without diapers in the daytime and will do everything in the potty/toilet bowl. It had been a pretty smooth journey as there hasn't been any "accidents" at home or when we are out. However there had been 2 "accidents" in school though. I believe she must had played till she forgotten about going to the toilet.

As for night time, though I put on pull ups for her, she'll still wake up 1-2 times a night to go to the potty/toilet so I guess she would be able to do without the pull ups at night time soon.

I had also decided to put her on the child toilet seat instead of potty. It helps to save us the trouble of washing the potty each time after she uses it. She had taken to it quite well too. Let's hope it'll be as smooth when Reyden's turn comes too.

Our dinner #12

Tonight's dinner was a horror. Not the dishes but the "design" we had. Mummy didn't have time for preparation so just got to make do with whatever dishes she cooked and apparently it turned out hideous-looking. But we ate it anyway ...


Our dinner - Rice with stir-fried minced meat with egg and mushrooms, ham (for the hair) and old cucumber soup.

Mummy had a difficult challenge today. Reyes replied "mimi mouse!" when asked what she wanted for tonight's dinner. We are quite into Mickey and Minnie lately cos of the Disney Channel which Mummy subscribed to when we were down with HFMD at home. Mummy regretted her question but she still had to get down to it cos she didn't want to disappoint Reyes.

However with the little experience and resources she had, she caught herself in the situation staring at the Mickey and Minnie pixs for a long time. And she was opening and closing the fridge doors for thousands of times to see what she can do with the things she had inside.

Finally she got down to work with cutting of the Nori, cheese and ham. Putting together the parts are quite easy though. She's glad that she had gotten the tweezers from Daiso at her last visit.

Ta-da!!! Our dinner are ready!! Though it looked very much like those "pirated" Mickey and Minnie mouse but at least we could still recognised them and we know that Mummy had put in her best efforts. She promised herself to go get the Mickey and Minnie mouse mould soon lest she finds herself in this kind of "predicament" again.


Our dinner of rice, ham, cheese, red dates (nose), steamed threadfin and tomatoes (in the side dishes) with lotus root soup with pork ribs.

Qian Hu Fish Farm

We had wanted to go to Hay Dairies Farm and proceed to Qian Hu from there but who knows the goat view barn's closed for AVA checks. Therefore we stayed there for a short while and went over to Qian Hu Fish Farm.

We had fun at Qian Hu cos Mummy finally managed to convince Daddy to let us have a try at the Longkang fish-catching. It's $5 for half an hour including rental of a net and container. We'll get to keep the fishes if we want but Daddy and Mummy decided to put the fishes back into the pond.


All the way to goat's farm for goat's milk.

No more KFC for today's lunch, instead we tried the food at the restaurant in the zoo. The chicken rice and curry chicken bryani are quite ok except that it's abit pricey at $8.90 per set.

Mummy is back!! Back with? Our food menu, of cos. She couldn't get down to prepare those interesting menu with us messing around in the house for these 2 weeks therefore we had our last few dinners in the normal and simple form. However Mummy decided that she'll start to make nice looking dinner for us since she'll have plenty of time on hand with us back to school.

Our dinner with Yakitori chicken on the food picks, Octopus (cheese hotdogs - I noticed this brand of cheese hotdogs split very nicely when boiled and it made the octopus looks real), kamaboko, carrots, ham and quail eggs.

Mummy had packed our dinner in boxes thinking we'll be having dinner at Waipo's house. Turned out that we could make it back home in time for dinner so she served it to us as it is in the boxes.
