It was after much persuasion that Daddy agreed to a zoo trip on a weekend. However Mummy told him that we probably will have to get used to it since our business is starting soon.

Today's group was a small one with Tian, Bryan, EJ and EV. The crowd at the zoo wasn't too bad either but the weather was real hot. Anyway we renewed our "Friends of the Zoo" membership so it'll be free to go again!!

HortPark - The Gardening Hub

Today's the last day of the Gardentech 2009 event at the Hortpark.

HortPark is a one-stop gardening hub that brings together gardening-related, recreational, educational, research and retail activities under one big canopy in a park setting. It is a knowledge hub for plants and gardening and provides the platform for the industry to share best practices and showcase garden designs, products and services. This 23-hectare regional park in South-Western Singapore is also a park connector, connecting Telok Blangah Hill Park to Kent Ridge Park.

And the GARDENTECH 2009 is the much-awaited biennial garden fair that brings together the horticulture and landscaping industry. There were guided tours of HortPark’s Butterfly Garden, gardening and nature talks, product talks and demonstrations, competitions, stage and carnival games, and many more.

We had been contemplating a trip to the Hortpark since it 1st opened but Daddy didn't seem to like the idea. However coincidentally our school theme for the month is Plants, therefore Mummy felt that going for this fair is just right for us. Though the weather was abit hot today but we still enjoyed ourselves pretty much. Mummy's hoping we won't get sunburn cos she had forgotten all about the sunblock lotion and our hats.

Sleeping without Mummy

Mummy's post:

It had been a long 2 weeks since I've done any updates here. Life had been pretty uneventful with the twins and busy with mine. The office is almost up and we should be expecting to go into operation in another 2 weeks' time. I'm pretty sad to leave my SAHM job but I guess it's for the best of Kent and the family. I hope this would be a temporary arrangement till Kent's out from the Navy.

On the twins, we had a little achievement tonight. They managed to sleep on their own without me having to accompany them in the room. In fact Reyes had already done it last night though with abit of crying and scolding. (Reyden had fallen asleep before her last night) Tonight's situation was similar except for Reyden talking non-stop in the room. Reyes' crying became softer too. I overheard something pretty cute as I left the room. Reyes was sobbing and Reyden told her "Don't cry, Gorgor here." It warmths my heart ...

Back to the "sleep-on-own" milestone, I certainly hope I'll be able to take the crying and persist on. Wish me luck!
