Reyden's 1st time in A&E

Though KKH's Children Dept hasn't been unfamiliar to us since their birth but the A&E dept's definitely the 1st time for Reyden & us.
Reyden's persistent fever kept staying around 38 ~ 39, even after inserting the suppository at the doctor yesterday morning. Though he was still active with playing & had relatively good appetite, he did looked abit tired & uncomfortable. Decided to bring him to the KKH A&E around 10+pm.
Doctor diagnosed him with Croup - a group of conditions involving inflammation of the upper airway that leads to a cough that sounds like a bark, particularly when a child is crying. Most croup due to viruses is mild and can be treated at home, though rarely viral croup can be severe and even life-threatening. Some children are more prone to developing croup, especially those who were born prematurely or with narrowed upper airways.
That makes sense cos he was a premature baby. (At least knowing that helps in easing my guilty for failing to take good care of him. And it came at a time when I'm deciding between being a FTWM or SAHM. It makes me doubt my capabilities in being a SAHM.)

Anyway he felt better after the medicine given & monitoring at the A&E, came back home & fell asleep thru the night. He even slept in till 9am this morning! Fever went off, only the cough & running nose's still there. Let's pray hard that the fever don't come back & most importantly Reyes don't catch the virus.
