1st day in school

Mummy's post:

Today's the 1st official day of RR attending childcare. I had been having jitters about it especially after hearing all the weepy and screaming stories from the other mummies. We reached there at about 8.15am and Reyden showed signs of rejection at the entrance. He seemed fine after seeing me going in with him. As for Reyes, I knew she'll probably be able to adapt better than the brother. She took off her shoes and off she went into the classes. I found her seated properly at a table waiting for her breakfast.

After breakfast, they were being led to their classroom and settled down. There were play gym, singing session, art & craft & some other activities. It all seem well until I sneaked out for breakfast and the crying saga started all the way till sleeping time.

Today's probably the 1st time I've seen RR cried so much in a day since their birth time. My heart aches each time I see their tears rolled down and it definitely made my mood extremely bad. I'm wondering how long I can last before they adapt to school.

Welcome Reyden & Reyes!

Early Xmas gathering at T3

We attended a Mar mummies' early Xmas gathering at T3 after the birthday party. Had wanted to catch the Mickey and Minnie Meet-and-Greet but the crowd and queue was ... goodness!!! We gave up and went off after the gift exchange. However the kids had all enjoyed running wild at the small empty area, playing at the playground and watching the water fountain. Kids are just kids, we can have fun anywhere, anytime.

Mummy didn't manage to take pics of all the kids who turned up today cos the place was too crowded and she had to catch hold of us so that Daddy won't have the chance to nag at her for neglecting us. We had Tiffany, Asher, Chloe, Leia, EJ, Evee, YT, Bryan, Clyde & Kaiser with us but we only managed to catch a few on film. Mummy will see where to get hold of more pixs of the gathering.

See, I can control this very well.

Too many kids blocking my way, I shall climb over to the other side.

Giving this a try for the 1st time

Hmmm ... how do we fix this?

Let me out!!

Happy 1st Birthday, Shamus

We went for Aunty Serene's Shamus' 1st birthday today. It was held at a pretty nice clubhouse at her new condo. We saw quite a few of our little friends but both of us were too engaged in our balloon and dog play.

Orientation in school

We went for our short orientation in school today. We were kind of unsettled at the beginning. It made Mummy worried but however we were fine by playtime.

After playtime was art & craft and singing and we enjoyed that too. Mummy thought she could do the disappearing act for awhile. Reyes started crying not long after that. Mummy heard her crying and shouting "mama! mama!" outside the classroom and she felt a tinge of heartpain. She didn't want to scare Reyes even before she starts officially so she came in to pacify Reyes. And since it was time for us to go back so we packed up and went off.

The good sign Mummy saw was that we happily waved and shouted "bye, bye!" to our friends and teachers. At least we don't resent them or school. Let's hope Monday will be a better day.

Wah! They've got lots of books here.

Last 5-in-1 booster jabs

We went for our long overdue last 5-in-1 booster vaccinations today. This jab was supposed to be taken at 18 mths but Mummy had been dragging it.

For those who doesn't know, Mummy is a scaredy cat when it comes to needles like injections, blood tests & etc ... Mummy could still recall how she screamed and cried 4 years back when she was required to give 3 tubes of blood for normal routine body checks. And the way she screamed and squeezed Daddy's hand for all those blood tests done during her pregnancy, the epidural injection and IV drips poked in her hands.

Therefore we were only given the mandatory jabs and not those optional ones since birth. Mummy wants to save us from the pain and herself from the stress. If it wasn't for the childcare entry requirement, probably she might even wait till we go Primary One before she'll send us for our last booster jabs.

Anyway, we didn't make much fuss this time round except that Reyes screamed abit when the needle went into her butt. Perhaps she didn't know what to expect cos she was the 1st one to take it.

As for our growth development, we are growing well!! Reyden's at the 75th percentile with weight of 12.7kg and Reyes' moving towards 75th percentile as well weighing 12kg. However our heights are still in the 50th percentile with 85cm and 83cm respectively. The other thing which also remains unchanged is big head circumferences, Reyden's 97th percentile with 51cm and Reyes' 90th percentile with 49cm.

GogoBambini

Mummy decided to bring us to Go-Go Bambini again before school starts on Mon. We'll probably will have to wait for quite sometime before we get to go again. We were supposed to go with Dan and Yaz but Aunty Fi had a change of mind and brought them to Jacob Ballas instead. We had Yangyang and Kaiser joined us at GGB though.

Mr Men and Little Misses Show

Mummy was so happy that this is near our place at Compasspoint and it has the perfect 4pm timing on weekdays too. It was a disappointment to see the crowd when we reached there at 3.50pm. Then we realised they only allow kids that can be left on their own to be inside the watching area. We "moved" the whole gang to Level 2 to watch. The initial part when they "jumped" out, shouted "Hello" and danced was fine but as the show progressed, we were seen wandering around the area. Perhaps cos we aren't near enough to be captivated by the characters. We didn't finish the show and made our way to KFC instead.
