Rainy Mid-Autumn Festival ...

This is a wet wet Mid-Lantern Festival. It had been pouring since afternoon. Luckily we got to do a lantern parade last night else it'll be a disappointing Lantern Festival.

Anyway Waipo got us some paper lanterns to play with at home. She led us to walk around the house. We were more cautious this time, probably cos of our previous experience of burnt lanterns at EJ's place. Mummy was so worried that we'll drop the lanterns and burn her flooring. Well, her worries turned out to be unfounded afterall.

Oh, we forgot to mention that we had a pretty long day and fun day despite the rain. We dropped by Aunty Fi's and Aunty Caryn's place to look at their "loots" from the Mattel sale. They had got a whole lot of Fisherprice Little People sets, Barbie dolls, dollhouse, Geotrax sets & etc ... Mummy is pretty keen in the Barbie dolls for Reyes and Geotrax for Reyden. Let's hope she's able to squeeze out some time next week to pop by the sale for a look.

After the "toys viewing" sessions, we came back for a shower and headed straight to T3 with Yiyi. We had wanted to check out a Crocs sale there but the prices aren't that attractive. The other reason for not getting anything is our feet are caught in between the sizes now. Guess we'll wait for the next sale.

And as usual we had our dinner at Xin Wang Restaurant. Aunty Michelle had brought Keira to join us but we didn't manage to wait for them to finish their dinner cos we were too tired by then.

Daddy had always been telling us that Kiki is our brother and we are to care for, love and take good care of him. Though Reyes' kind of afraid of Kiki's "forceful" plays and barks at times but she still loves him as much. We'll always greet him "hey, bro!!" whenever we come back home. And now Reyden has learnt to give Kiki commands like "hand, hand" (shake hand), "sit down" & "up". Daddy and Mummy know that they can trust us to love animals as much as they do and they are looking forward to the day when we can hold Kiki's leash for walks, help to bath him & etc ...

Mid- Autumn Festival celebration in school

We went back to school for the Mid-Autumn Festival celebration in the evening. Waipo came along with us to join in the fun. Mummy prepared a big tray of braised chicken with mushroom and tau-pok for the potluck dinner.

We enjoyed ourselves very much with the dancing, singing, games, food and lantern parade!! This is our 1st time doing it for this festival and Mummy was surprised that we could hold hands, walked in pairs and followed the group. Reyes even insisted that we followed the group back to school. We could have gone home when the parade route passed by our place.

We look forward to next year's celebration.

Lantern Parade

Getting ready for Lantern Festival Celebration in school

Our school will be having a Mid-Autumn festival celebration tomorrow evening and with it, there's a DIY lantern contest. We are supposed to make our own lanterns with Daddy and Mummy for this parent-child bonding activity. Mummy had been cracking her head over this and eventually she decided that we'll have 2 similar lanterns made from paper bags. She did all the cutting and cut out letters of our names, fishes, starfishes, shapes & etc ... for us to stick on their lanterns ourselves. With this activity, she was pleasantly surprised to learnt that we know how to spell our own names and the sequence of the letters in our names.

We all look forward to the event tomorrow evening with singing, storytelling and drama performances by teachers, Chinese riddles and games, moon cake making and sampling, potluck dinner (Mummy is going to prepare one of our favourites - braised chicken wings), lantern parade & etc ... Praying hard for good weather ...

Mummy brought us to Polliwogs today as our Children's Day's present. The place was overly crowded but luckily the bouncy playground was up and quiet. We had much fun there.

Children's Day celebration in school

It's Children's Day today!!! Happy Children's Day to all the babies, toddlers and children!!

Our school had a celebration with a fancy dress contest. Mummy dressed us up with some effort and we managed to win a prize for it. Other than the contest, there were games, singing, dancing & etc ... All of us had fun including Mummy who joined in the celebration.

And not forgetting our of "loots" of pressies from the teachers & Aunty Seah. We love all of them!!
