Dinner at Vienna

Daddy and his colleagues had a dinner event at Vienna International Seafood & Teppanyaki Restaurant this evening and he decided to bring us along. The restaurant serves international and teppanyaki buffet. Their specialty includes spaner crabs, fresh oysters, deep fried durian, herbal prawn, crocodile soup, mini buddha jumps over the wall & etc. There are also the normal menu like Japanese food, Teppanyaki, fresh oysters, desserts & etc.

We would say that the variety and food standard isn't too bad but we find the price abit steep at $38.80++ per adult. There are similar buffets hotels for that price but with the 1 for 1 promotions by credit cards, it's definitely more worth it.

We've finally gotten the soft copies of our photoshoot done with Cheers and Tears Photography. The photography session took place about 2 weeks ago and it was at a home studio. Daddy, Mummy and us enjoyed ourselves alot cos we took to the photographer, Albert easily and there were much laughters and fun.

Biggest Mar Kids' gathering ever!

We had a huge gathering with the Mar kids and mummies this evening at Kira's place. Thank you to Aunty Evelyn for organising it. The turnout was a hit with a total of 19 families, countless of adults and 24 kids (including the Mar kids' siblings). All of us had fun in the pool, at the playground and at the food area!

This had been the 4th potluck gathering since the 1st one at our place in Apr and it had practically became an once-a-month event. We definitely hope for more to come!

Happy 28th Month to RR!!

Mummy went to a food fair at Compasspoint and passed by a stall selling cheesecake. It has quite a few flavours and Mummy decided to get the passionfruit one after sampling the different flavours. Since we are turning 28 months old today, she got some candles for us to sing the birthday song and blow candles again.

Endless and senseless conversations

Mummy's post:

I chanced upon a new way to make the kiddos fall asleep faster and that is to start some senseless and endless conversations with them at bedtime. Of cos I'll need to make sure I don't doze off before they do with the silly conversations.

Examples of those we had tonight:

I had wanted to know if their teachers had scolded Reyden for biting Reyes on her arm therefore the question:

Mummy: 老师有没有骂 Gorgor？
Reyes: 有。他哭.
Mummy: 为什么Gorgor哭？
Reyes: 他坏蛋.
Mummy: 为什么他坏蛋？
Reyes: 他丢玩具.
Mummy: 为什么他丢玩具？
Reyes: 他坏蛋.
Mummy: Errr ... 为什么他坏蛋？
Reyes: 他丢玩具.
Mummy: Oh, then 为什么他丢玩具？
Reyes: 他坏蛋 ...

The conversation went on for another 5 mins and she just dozed off mumbling the same 2 lines over and over again ... That's pretty fast for a record!

Next target ... Reyden.
Kent noticed that Teacher Rose wasn't around this morning when we dropped the kids hence the question:

Daddy: Teacher Rose come to school today?
Reyden: Yes. Teacher Rose fall down.
Mummy: Where did Teacher Rose fall down? Toilet? Classroom?
Reyden: Teacher Rose fall down on the floor.
Mummy: ??? Oh, ok. So did the ambulance come?
Reyden: No, ambulance no come. Bus come.
Mummy: Huh?? Bus come bring Teacher Rose go where?
Reyden: Bus come bring Teacher Rose sit bus.
Mummy: ???? Decided to end the conversation before I pull my hair out

2nd conversation with Reyden.
Still wondering if the teachers did scold him for the bite wound on Reyes' arm:

Mummy: 老师有没有骂你？
Reyden: 没有。老师骂 Marcus。
Mummy: 为什么老师骂 Marcus？
Reyden: Marcus 弄桌子，Marcus 打 Jamie。
Mummy: Oh ... 你 sure 老师没有骂你 ah？
Reyden: 没有。老师骂 Meimei。
Mummy: Huh? 为什么老师骂 Meimei？
Reyden: Meimei 弄桌子，Meimei 打 Jamie。
Mummy: ???

The conversation went on with another 2 more names before he fell asleep ...
