Happy Mothers' Day!!

Happy Mothers' Day to all mummies!!

Dua Pek wanted to give Nainai a treat for Mothers' Day and had asked us along for a buffet dinner at the Kublai Khan Mongolian BBQ restaurant. As usual we helped ourselves to the buffet food as well, fried rice, fish, noodles, soup, chawamushi, chicken drumsticks, fruits, puddings and ice-cream. Mummy always says it's a bad thing for buffet restaurants to have us cos we eat so much for free.

Our online loot

We had in fact received these bags from the Disneystore.com for quite sometime but Mummy didn't have the chance to get down taking pictures of it. Thank you to Aunty Charmaine for consolidating the orders. We love these bags to bits. The Minnie and Tigger characters look cute and Mummy likes it cos we could personalised it. See our names on the bags?

However the size of the bag isn't quite big so we can't use it for daily school usage. We could only use it for half day school on some Saturdays.

My kids had grown up

Mummy's post:
Lately I had noticed that our 1.8kg tin of Enfagrow is able to last us for about 2 weeks instead of the normal 1week+. The kids had now learnt to request for breakfast (bread/biscuits) or fresh milk instead of their daily morning formula milk feed. They'll go "don't want milk, I want biscuits/bread." Or "I want cold cold milk" (referring to the Magnolia full cream milk in the fridge). So I get to save 480ml of milk for that day.

And when bedtime comes soon after a heavy dinner, they'll just make do with a small cup of milk (usually about 120ml each).

The feeling is kind of weird to see my kids outgrow milk bottles, training cups (oh, did I mention that they don't even want to use the Dr Brown training cups to drink their milk now? 2 cups wasted ...) and now formula milk. On one hand, I'm of cos happy to see them growing up well but on the other hand, I do miss holding my babies and feeding them milk in those milk bottles. Mummies are forever in such dilemma.

Mummy says we are to stand here and finish the milk

Reyes: Mummy, I'm tired already.

Finally seated down
(Mummy: Well, I asked you not to walk around but I didn't say you can't sit down and drink your milk!)

I had been wanting to take some shots of the kids in school but kept forgetting to bring my camera along. Managed to do it this morning though. They are pretty different from the time when they 1st started CC. I used to hide behind the curtains to peep at them to avoid letting them see me and cry to go home.

The situation had changed since they settled down. I can now stand by the windows, watch them eat their breakfast, drink their milo, have amusing conversations with their peers. They'll turn to look at me occassionally, wave to me and say bye bye before I even decide to go off. Haha, my 26mths old kids had really grown up alot ...

Reyden's haircut

Daddy, Mummy and Yiyi had brought us for breakfast at Compasspoint. Mummy thought Reyden needed a haircut and it might be a good chance to let Daddy see why we need to pay so much for it instead of going to a normal hair salon. Reyden was rather cooperative thruout and the haircut was quite a fast one. At least that justified the $ spent.

Playdate at Seth's house

Thank you to Aunty Joelle for having us over to mess up the place. Mummy had lost count of how many turned up that day. Anyway we all had great fun and yummy food. Looking forward to the next gathering ...

Housewarming celebration

We finally had our housewarming celebration today. Mummy had only managed to take pixs of some of the guests cos the rest of the time she was busy entertaining the guests and us. (Daddy had to go back to camp for a flu vaccination) Luckily Waipo was around to help out.

The food spread from Le Xin Catering
This is the 1st time Mummy had tried this caterer. Mostly commented that the food was quite good except for the over-sweeten yam paste. What a waste, Mummy loves this dessert.

Don't you all think I look alot like Yiyi?

Our last guests of the day, Dan and Yaz with their Daddy, Mummy

Mummy realised that most of the gifts she received are things for the kitchen - steamer, fondue set, juice extractor, onion chopper & etc ... Guess we'll have steamed fish/chicken, fruit juices & chocolate fondue for next week. Yummy!!
Thank you to all aunties and uncles for your generous gifts and angpows.
