Family Day!!

RR's post:

It's Aunty Aida's off day again & we had a great day of family time including wai-po & yiyi.
Started our day with breakfast at Macdonalds with wai-gong & wai-po. We had collected 5 Happy Meals toys so far & Mummy says it's getting too much so we didn't take ours today.
Went to Fairprice Xtra to get a beach set for sand & water play & off we went to the Yio Chu Kang swimming complex! It was so crowded on weekends & Mummy told Daddy it's better to bring us there on weekdays but a pity Daddy can't always join us on weekdays.

I'm ready!!

Wait for me! I need to do some warm ups 1st.

Ok, I'm ready to go off too!

Gor Gor, you are still afraid of the coldness after all the warm ups???

Daddy, I can handle on my own.

Daddy, see? I'm taller than the depth of this pool.

Who's touching my new toys??

The water's too cold for me, think I'll just stay here & play with my toys.

March Babies Birthday Bash!!

We attended a March Babies Birthday Bash at Gogobambini today. Thank you to Aunty Charmaine for organising this event. It turned out fun & great. We've been in this SMF mar thread for quite some time but due to a busy schedule, we weren't able to meet most of the mummies in the thread. Today was the 1st time we seen Germaine/Clyde, Joelle/Seth, YY/Teng, Pearlyn/Jaden, Fion/Vanda, Yvonne/Bel, Elaine/Anthea, Shirley/Dylan, Ginny/Fabian, Shanna/Tiffany & Xiao Wei/Jayden. As for those we met before are Charmaine/Leia, Jenne/Legolas & Michelle/Keira. All the kids enjoyed themselves including RR. They've got a pressie each too.

The thorn among the roses?

Everybody's searching for their pressies.

All around Singapore

I've been bringing RR all around these few days. Not only that they are tired out, Mummy's drained out too. Nevertheless, we all enjoyed ourselves but no pictures taken cos Mummy had forgotten to bring the camera along & the camera in my phone isn't too clear.

It all started on Mon morning at Pasir Ris park. They had their 1st feel of sand. Reyes enjoyed her feet being buried under the sand whereas Reyden enjoyed throwing sand on himself, Yazmin, Danial & not sparing me as well. There were the swings and activity panels which caught their little attention too. They liked running & playing peek-a-boo around the panels. Apparently both piglets were tired from all the running, both dozed off peacefully in the car on our way home.

I packed them off to Yio Chu Kang swimming complex in the late afternoon seeing that the weather was good for a swim. The children's pool is ready after the renovation & it's great with the water play & slide. But poor R&R didn't have a chance to try the slide cos Mummy's a scardy cat. Never mind, we shall go with Daddy on Sun & Daddy will carry them down the slide with him. Reyes had always enjoy herself in water but Reyden will need some warming up 1st. I'm looking forward to the completion of the Anchorvale's pool. It'll be so much nearer to our place.

Then came Tuesday where we went shopping at Compasspoint. Got quite few stuff for them. Haiz ... my 'sickness' is acting up again.

And Daddy isn't working today so off we went to Gymboree with Danial/Yazmin & Cayley/Austin!!! The last time we went was a disaster cos of Reyden's crankiness. Today he was a happy, chirpy baby.

Recalling the 1st time Aunty Fi brought us to Gymboree was the time when both of them couldn't even flip or sit. And after a period of 8mths, today, they could climb up the slides, throw a ball into the net, push the big ball, crawl thru the tunnel & could even 'run' around!! That's how amazing kids' developments can be. I look forward to the future with them when they start to walk freely, talk to me, shop with me, cook with me & etc. But at the same time, I missed the times when I had them in my tummy, breastfed them, held them in my arms, rocked them to sleep & ... That's the dilemma all mummies go thru ...

The Animal Resort

Reyden & Reyes' post:

Today's Daddy & Mummy's 2nd wedding anniversary. They didn't go anywhere in particular for celebration. Both of them felt that we 2 are the best presents to each other so they brought us out today. We went to The Animal Resort off Seletar West Farmway. Daddy told us that they used to come here very often with Kiki & Boy Boy. They had their haircuts here too. We had fun with the rabbits, goats, parrots & chinchillas. Mummy says we would be able to buy food for the animals & feed them next time when we are older.
The thing that Daddy & Mummy don't like about this place is the selling of puppies. They had always advocate adoption instead of getting puppies from puppy mills. There are thousands of abandoned furkids waiting for kind souls to give them a home. And the breeding dogs behind are living in horrible environment. Dirty, viruses-infected & cramped cages, deprived of proper medical treatment, thrown/dump by the roadsides when they became blind, weak or sick. It's all too cruel to these furkids. Boy Boy was one of those suffering under the hands of these unscrupulous backyard breeders. We urged whoever are contemplating to get a puppy from these backyard breeders or petshops to think twice or maybe thrice. Adopt, don't buy. Give the abandoned furkids a chance, their love aren't any lesser & they are able to appreciate you too.

R&R's developments

The last 3 months had been eventful months for R&R's developments.

At 9mths
- Both were able to lift up her body & crawl on fours.
- Both could stand & cruise around.
- Both could wave bye bye.
- Reyden could clap his hands.

At 10mths
- Reyes was able to stand unsupported & take a few steps on her own.
- Reyes could clap her hands.
- Reyden could dance with his head nodding.
- Reyden could reject things by shaking his head.
- Both were able to point with their fingers.
- Reyes was able to grab small food with her fingers & self feed.

At 11mths
- Reyes was able to walk quite steadily without falling.
- Reyes was able to climb down from our bed on her own.
- Reyden could give a good-bye kiss.
- Reyden was able to grab small food with his fingers and self feed.

At 12 mths
- Reyes could walk with ease.
- Reyes could dance with nodding her head.
- Reyes was able to show with hand sign that she wants milk.
- Reyden started to stand with support & take unstable steps on his own.
- Both could climb up & down sofas & beds.
- Reyes knows how to kiss us, Reyden & Kiki.

As for their teeth, Reyden has 6 on top & 4 below whereas Reyes' still with her 4 top teeth & 4 bottom teeth.

Though they aren't the fastest in their development but I would say I'm rather proud of them. The PD would have told me "they are only 11 mths based on their corrected age!!" Ok, I know that.

Michelle Yiyi's wedding

Reyden was asked to be the "jumping boy" for the couple's bed. It's one of the Chinese custom that newlywed should get young boys to jump or roll on their new bed if they wants to have kids soon. Reyden apparently didn't jump but sat around like Humpty Dumpty. Anyway that's also job done.
The dinner in the evening was RR's 1st wedding dinner attended but Mummy told herself that before they turn 3, there won't be anymore wedding dinners for them. Probably you all can see from the pixs taken that Reyes wasn't in the pictures much. That's cos she had 'conspired' with Gor Gor to be the naughtier one for the night. Mummy didn't even get to eat her favourite dessert - yam paste with ginko nuts.

Twins Gathering at Aunty Karen's place

We had a twins gathering at Shaokai & Shaomin's place today & it was great!! Thank you to Karen for lending us her place. There were total 5 pairs of twins - Danial/Yazmin, Chloe/Gracia, Shaokai/Shaomin, Cayley/Austin & of cos Reyden/Reyes. The kids had a wonderful time at the house & also at the playground. Apparently they were keen in the pool as well but none of us were prepared for a swim so next time, kids?
