Toys, toys & more toys

Went down to a baby toy sale at Alexandra Distripark this morning. Had never been so hardworking before, went all the way from home just for a sale. It turned out to be worth the trip afterall. Got a coupe car, seesaw, bloster cases, mugs & some other small toys. All for the price of $150 only! :)
Lugged everything onto the car and back home by myself. Though they are still young for some of the toys but I'm still quite pleased with my "loot". hahaha!
Oh ya, not forgetting to thank Auntie Jeanelle for informing Mummy about the sale & Auntie Fi for going down to the sale with Mummy. :)

There's hardly place to walk around with all these new toys. Not forgetting the jumperoo that's coming on the way. Stay tuned for their new toy!

Here are pixs of today's "loot"

Development checks in KKH

It had been a long time since we last went to KKH in May. Brought R&R for their development checks yesterday. It's a routine check for premmies till 1.5 yrs old. Everything are fine. Both are able to roll over from tummy, able to sit up without assist, started on porridge & cereals, put on weight well. The only thing I'm not quite satisfied with is probably their heights. Kent says we can't expect much cos we aren't too tall ourselves either. Isn't that bad?

Reyes' only 65cm , weighing 7.6kg. & Reyden's 68cm, weighing 8.7kg. Shall help them with some stretching.

Next visit at KKH will be 4 mths later in Jan. Wondering will they be able to stand by then?

Reyden's afraid of water

Kent had his 36th Fleet Anniversary at Bukit Batok CSC yesterday morning so we brought Gor Gor along. (it was very early in the morning and mei mei hadn't wake up so we just brought gor gor) There was a swimming event so I decided to bring along his swimming costume for a try. He looked so happy when he saw the other children playing in the water. But he started to wail when we had only put his legs into the water! Brought him up & tried again 10 mins later and it's still the same reaction. So ended up we just looked while Daddy swam. Poor Reyden cos he looked so sad. Shall start to train him at home with cold water for bathing ... :)

Guilt ...

Mummy had decided to put a stop to the journey of breastfeeding. Though part of her feels relieved that she doesn't have to sit infront of the pump for 3 times of 30-45 mins daily and get stressed over the miserable diminishing milk supply, she feels guilt too. First of all, she was guilty enough when she couldn't total breastfeed us cos of our big appetite. Then now she has to stop earlier than what she had originally planned to.

The thing that could assure her and make her feel better about her decision is probably what the PD had said about our weights and good health. She's hoping to make up with more nutritious solids for us. Let's hope we'll continue to grow well and healthy.

Giant babies

Weighing 8.3kg (Reyden) & 7.5kg (Reyes) at 5mths 2 weeks old put them in the 97th percentile within a month. Credit to Auntie Aida's care, Grandma's recipes or Mummy's preparation of yummy food? That we also don't know ... :)

Look at what Daddy did to Reyden.

Reyes could finished half a bottle of water on her own!

This is so funny!

Mummy had done videoclips for the 2 of them. It's so funny.

Have fun watching!!

An update of their developments. Both had learnt how to roll over from back to tummy & tummy to back. They had started off eating semi-solids as well. Rice cereal, brown rice, pureed carrots, pears & apples too. Apparently they are gluttons like Mummy & Daddy, finshed whatever was given to them most of the time. We shall see how much weight they have gain when they are due for their 3rd vaccination next week. :)
